CORVALLIS – The Oregon State track & field team looks to keep the early season momentum going this weekend in Seattle at the UW Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor Center.
Live results will be provided for the two-day event through Live Results; a link to the results can be found here. A subscription-based live streaming service is being provided by FloTrack if you wish to watch the event.
Friday kicks off 1 p.m. with the start of the men's heptathlon; the start of the women's pentathlon begins shortly after at 1:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. The running events begin at 4 p.m. with the women's 60-meter hurdles; the women's pole vault signifies the start of the field events at 5 p.m.
The Beavers are traveling a larger party this week than they did two weeks ago to the UW Preview. 22 student-athletes are set to make the trip, including seven who will be making their 2019 debut.
Tory Edwards will make her first competitive jumps of the year in the pole vault, while six student-athletes make their debuts in the 3,000 meters: Juliana Mount, Grace Fetherstonhaugh, Mari Friedman, Lexi Reed, Haley Wolf, and Audrey Lookner.
Currently, Oregon State has entrants accepted into the pentathlon, pole vault, weight throw, high jump, 5,000m, 200m, shot put, triple jump, 60m, 1 mile, 3,000m, and 4x400m Relay.
The Beavers had success at the season-opening UW Preview two weekends ago setting 15 all-time marks or times. Ann Wingeleth won the high jump setting a personal best mark of 5-feet, 9.25-inches. Rebecca Ledsham had a strong run in the 800 meters notching the No. 2 all-time mark in OSU history.
