Beavs Overcome Nationally Ranked Opponents at Gans Creek Classic

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State cross country team made a statement at the Gans Creek Classic, putting together one of its strongest performances of the season. The Beavers not only recorded three personal bests but also secured victories over nationally ranked opponents, including No. 6 Alabama and No. 24 Lipscomb.
In the Gold Race, Sage Brooks led the Beavers with a personal best of 20:19.4 for 49th place, bettering her previous 6k best of 20:27.1. Kate Laurent followed close behind in 58th at 20:24.2. Ainsley Herron placed 100th in 20:50.8 and Sydney Partyka posted 21:03.1 for 125th, each recording personal bests. Noemi Lundgren finished in 21:06.2, Ruby Broadbent raced a 21:22.5, Maya Baechler for 21:34.1, and Molly Latinscics finished in 21:45.4, rounding out the scoring effort.
In the Black Race, Maella Hodgson finished 40th in 21:35.3, while Eliza Eckman crossed in 22:31.1 for 121st.
