AJ Singer drove a single to center with the bases loaded in the 10th inning to send Oregon State to a 5-4 win over Florida State Friday at Goss Stadium. Jacob Krieg tied the game in the ninth with a two-out, two-strike single to left to score a pair. Dax Whitney struck out 10 in 4 2/3 innings and Kellan Oakes improved to 4-0 with a scoreless 10th inning.

• Friday's game was not only the first for the Beavers against Florida State, but a first against an Atlantic Coast Conference at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. That is, excluding California and Stanford as their appearances came while members of the Pac-12.
• Oregon State is 6-4 in Super Regional openers after Friday's win over Florida State.
• Oregon State's pitching staff has 72 strikeouts to 22 walks and 46 hits allowed in 55 games in the postseason. The Beavers also sport a 2.62 earned run average while holding opponents to a .235 batting average.
