Beavers Continue Homestand Saturday When Hosting Lafayette

Game Notes
• Oregon State plays its second of four straight home games Saturday when the Beavers host Lafayette from the Patriot League at Reser Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. PT.
• The game will stream live on The CW with Ted Robinson (play-by-play), Ryan Leaf (analyst) and Nigel Burton (sideline) calling the action.
• The game will air live on the Beaver Sports Radio Network. For a list of affiliates, turn to page two of these notes.

• The teams have never met.
• Andrew Seumalo is the recruiting coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the Leopards, now in his eighth season. Seumalo was a four-year letterwinner for the Beavers from 2009-12. He served as a team captain his senior season and ended his career with 23 consecutive starts. He is also the brother of former Oregon State offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo, who is currently playing in the NFL. Seumalo's father, Joe, was an assistant coach for the Beavers from 2006-14.
• The Beavers have played two games all-time against a current member of the Patriot League, meeting Fordham in 1932 and 1933, both in the Bronx. Oregon State won 9-6 in 1933 and lost 8-6 in 1932. Fordham was an independent programs in both of those matchups.

Akey Appointed Interim Head Coach
• Robb Akey was appointed Oregon State's Interim Head Coach on Sunday when Trent Bray was relieved as Head Coach.
• Akey joined the Oregon State staff as Special Assistant To The Head Coach prior to the 2025 season. He joined the program from Central Michigan, where he was defensive coordinator from 2019-2024.
• Akey was the head coach at Idaho from 2007-12, taking the Vandals to the Humanitarian Bowl in 2009.
• Akey is no stranger to the Pac-12 Conference. He was the defensive coordinator at Washington State from 2003-06. Prior to that, he coached the Cougars' defensive line unit from 1999-2002.
Homestand
• Saturday's game marks the second in a four-game homestand for the Beavers, who will also take on Washington State and Sam Houston over that stretch. The homestand opened with last weekend's game against Wake Forest.
• It's the first four-game homestand for the Beavers since the start of the 1997 season. OSU opened with a win over North Texas, followed by losses to Stanford and Arizona State before a win over San Jose State.

• Coaches in the press box this season include offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ryan Gunderson and co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Rod Chance.

•  David Wells Jr. scored the third receiving touchdown of the season. He has three scores over the last two games after scoring twice at App State.
•  Cornell Hatcher Jr. scored his second rushing touchdown of the season.
•  Gabarri Johnson passed for his first Oregon State touchdown when he found Wells from 4 yards out in the fourth quarter.
•  Gabe Milbourn caught a career-high four passes for 44 yards. He came into the game with two career receptions.
David Wells Over Two
• David Wells Jr. has had perhaps the best two-game stretch of his career combined against App State and Wake Forest.
• Wells Jr. has three touchdowns in the two games. He scored twice at App State, doing so once on the ground and once in the air. He then scored another touchdown against the Demon Deacons.
• Wells Jr. has 10 catches over the two games, totaling 94 yards.
• Overall, he is tied for second on the team with 24 catches for 270 yards.Â
Tied With Reddicks
• Taz Reddicks is also tied for second with 24 receptions this season.
• Reddicks had three catches for 44 yards against Wake Forest. His season and career-high mark is 11 against Fresno State in game two of the 2025 season.
• Reddicks and Wells Jr. are the only two Beavers with at least one catch in all seven games this season.
Walker's Career Day
• Trent Walker had a career day against App State. He set career-highs with 13 receptions and 179 yards.
• The 13 catches surpassed his previous best of 12 against Washington State last season. His 179 receiving yards, meanwhile, surpassed his 151 against San Jose State last year.
• The 179 yards mark the 15th-best single-game effort in Oregon State's history. The 13 catches, meanwhile, tie for the fourth-most ever by a Beaver. Only Mike Hass (14 in 2004 versus Arizona State), Brandin Cooks (14 in 2013 versus San Diego State) and Isaiah Hodgins (14 versus Nevada in 2018) have more.
