
OSU Finishes Fourth at WCC Championships, Two Beavers Named to All-Conference Team

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Competing at the West Coast Championships this weekend, the Oregon State Cross Country team placed fourth overall. Leading the Beavers, Kate Laurent and Sage Brooks both earned spots on the All-Conference Team.
Laurent was Oregon State's top finisher, placing sixth with a time of 20:15.8, which secured her a spot on the All-WCC First Team. Following Laurent, Brooks finished 15th with a time of 20:35.6, earning a position on the All-WCC Second Team.
Next for the Beavs was Erika Cunniam, who crossed the line in 18th at 20:50.4. Close behind, Erin Cosgrove took 19th with a time of 20:55.9. Ainsley Herron rounded out the top five in 25th place, clocking 21:08.2 and putting over nine seconds between herself and the next runner. Oregon State's top five all crossed the finish line within a minute of each other, showcasing a strong, cohesive pack.
In other notable finishes, Eimy Martinez placed 29th in 21:20.6, Sydney Partyka earned 33rd with 21:27.1, and Katie Kopec followed in 36th at 21:40.9. Maella Hodgson was close behind in 38th, posting 21:43.6, while Cadence Kasprick finished 45th in 22:07.4.
The team's fourth-place finish and 83-point score put nearly an 80-point buffer between them and fifth place, reflecting a strong collective effort by the Oregon State squad.
