Men's and Women's Rowing to Host Walk-on Informational Meeting
August 23, 2017 | Men's Rowing, Women's Rowing
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Men's and Women's rowing will hold a walk-on informational meeting September 20th at 5 p.m. in the club level of Reser Stadium.
All students with an athletic background are encouraged to attend the interest meeting to learn more about the walk on process and the incredible opportunity to try out for rowing.
Through the Physical Activity Course (PAC 205) students will spend the first three and a half weeks of fall term learning a new sport, training like varsity athletes and building team chemistry all with the goal of trying out for the varsity team at the conclusion of the class.
No previous rowing experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and work hard.
This is a unique opportunity for students who wanted to participate in collegiate athletics, but never got the chance. As a potential NCAA Division I student-athlete, you will have the opportunity to compete at the highest level of athleticism, and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
