2020-21
• Finished second at the Pac-12 Championships after going 1-1 with the win coming by a 14-2 major decision against Brawley Lamer (Cal Poly).
• Posted the second-best record on the team at 11-5 and a team-leading 7-2 in duals, starting all nine duals at 157.
• Recorded a 2-2 record at the NCAA Championships as the 13th seed, advancing to the third round in the consolation bracket.
• Led the team with 30 individual points in duals.
• Went 4-0 in matches decided by major decisions and 2-0 in matches decided by tech. falls.
• Defeated two ranked opponents, #17 Cade DeVos (SDSU) with a 4-3 decision (TB1) on Jan. 3 and a 6-2 decision over #10 Requir Van der Merwe (Stanford) on Feb. 7.
• Notched two tech. falls on Jan. 10, 18-3 over James Aziere (Little Rock) and 16-0 against Daniel Manibog (Oklahoma State).
• Had one pin on the season at 2:05 against Weston Wichman of Chattanooga (1/10), fastest pin on the team.
2019-20
• Redshirted.
• Went 12-3 unattached.
• Posted back-to-back falls to open the season at the Mike Clock Open. Ended that tournament 4-0.
• Was 4-1 at the Reno TOC and 4-2 at the Southern Scuffle.
2018-19
• Ended his sophomore campaign 19-8 after missing part of the season with an injury.
• 2019 NCAA Championship qualifier at 157 pounds for the second time in his career.
• 2019 Pac-12 2nd Place finisher at 157 pounds.
• Took 1st Place at the Mike Clock Open to start the season going 5-0.
• Followed that up with a 2nd Place performance at the Navy Classic.
• Placed at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational for the first time in his career at 157 pounds (8th).
• Ended the year with three major decisions, four technical falls and three falls.
2017-18
• Went 18-16 at 157 pounds including a 7-5 dual meet record scoring 27 team points.
• Second place finisher at the Pac-12 Championships.
• Went 0-2 at the NCAA Championships.
• Won his first four collegiate matches.
• Had one ranked win this season with five major decisions and two falls.
• Earned the Joe Wells Award for team impact at the team’s banquet.
PUEBLO COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
• Wrestled four years, and was team captain for three years.
• Is a four-time individual state champion, two-time team state champions, Doc Buchanan Invitational champion, two-time Fargo Junior Cadet Nationals All-American.
• Graduated with a 4.1 GPA, member of the National Honor Society and honor roll.
PERSONAL
• Son of Rick and Bonnie Willits; has older brother Keenan and twin brother Grant.
• His father and older brother wrestled collegiately for four years, his twin brother is a member of the Oregon State wrestling team.
• Mechanical engineering major.
• Enjoys art, wrestling, playing other sports and spending time with friends.
• Chose OSU because of the ”coaches, area, campus, and engineering program.”
