Kevin Roberts is in his 10th season at Oregon State. He was named the program's associate head coach in June 2016 after spending the previous nine seasons as an assistant coach.
The former Oregon wrestler has assisted at North Idaho College and Wyoming and was the strength and conditioning coach at Minnesota since 2004 before coming to Corvallis.
In nine years at Oregon State, Roberts has helped guide a program that has won five conference championships. OSU took second in two of those other years.
This past season (2015-16), the Beavers won the Pac-12 championship for the fifth year in a row. The Beavers advanced six wrestlers to the NCAAs, where they placed 21st.
In 2014-15, the Beavers won their fourth consecutive Pac-12 championship and finished 12-1 in duals. Five Beavers captured Pac-12 individual titles; three more placed second. Seven advanced to the NCAA Championships, where OSU placed 30th.
In 2013-14, the Beavers won their second straight Pac-12 championship. THxree Beavers won their weight class at the Pac-12 championships and eight advanced to NCAAs.
In 2012-13, Oregon State saw it's highest placing finish at NCAA's (eighth) since 1996, while crowning three All-Americans for the second straight season. Roberts also assisted in the development of an additional trio of Pac-12 champions, including the team's second conference title in as many years.
2011-12 saw Roberts and OSU produce three All-Americans and four conference champions as well as the initial Pac-12 team title.
In 2010-11, the Beavers advanced six wrestlers to the Pac-10 finals and sent eight to the NCAA Championships, the most in more than a decade.
Roberts has coached multiple Fila Jr. and University National freestyle champions and All-Americans. He helped coach and train former  Director of Operations Nick Simmons, a 2011 World Freestyle team member World Championships fifth-place finisher in Turkey.
At Minnesota, Roberts was a member of the staff where the program won the Big Ten Conference, the National Duals and finished fifth and second, respectively, at the NCAA Championships
At North Idaho from 1998-2000 and also from 2001-04, Roberts helped lead NIC to the 2003 NJCAA National Championships. He was on the staff at Wyoming for the 2000-01 season.
As a wrestler at Oregon from 1994-96, Roberts was a two-time All-American at 118 pounds, placing fourth in 1994 and eighth in 1995, and he was a three-time Pacific-10 finalist.
As a senior, Roberts was team captain; he earned the school's Pacific-10 Medal for a male athlete for outstanding achievements in scholarship, athletics and citizenship; and he earned the Emerald Trophy as the school's outstanding senior athlete. Roberts was named the Ducks' Most Valuable Wrestler three times.
Roberts is originally from Spokane, Wash., where he was a state champion for University High. He received a M.S. in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Wyoming in 2007, and a B.S. in Sociology from the University of Oregon in 1996.
Roberts and his wife, Cami, have two sons, Drew and Colton, and two daughters, Libby and Kyla.
