Senior (2019)
• Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team
• Appeared in 33 games making 32 starts behind the plate.
• Was second on the team for doubles with eight this season.
• Batted .288 with nine runs score, two home runs and 14 RBI.
• Went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored vs. Nevada on Feb. 22.
• Recorded three hits, two RBI and one run on Mar. 9 vs. Western Carolina.
• Had two hits including a double and one RBI vs. Stanford on Apr. 5.
Junior (2018)
• Started 49 games at catcher.
• Led the Pac-12 in caught stealing by with 13.
• Batted .208 with 11 runs scored, one home run and one RBI.
• Went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored at Stanford on April 15.
• Had two runs scored against Portland State on April 17.
Sophomore (2017)
• Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
• Appeared and started in all 55 games at catcher.
• Finished the season with a .214 batting average.
• Racked up five doubles and three home runs.
• Recorded three RBI against UC Davis on March 3 after finishing 3-for-5.
Freshman (2016)
• Appeared in 50 games this season, making starts at catcher in 47 games, batting .266 with five home runs, eight doubles and 20 RBI.
• Recorded five home runs to finish third on the team.
• Finished sixth on the squad in slugging percentage with a .432 mark.
• Tallied a pair of doubles, an RBI and a scored a run in the Beavers’ win over Oklahoma on Feb. 25.
• Finished 2-for-3 in game two against Arizona State on May 13, including a solo home run.
• Had a double and two RBI on 2-for-3 hitting against Utah on March 21.
• Drove in four runs on a double and home run in a win over Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 27.
• Went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI against New Mexico State on Feb. 27.
Mission Viejo HS
• Lettered in softball all four years at Mission Viejo High School for head coach Troy Ybarra.
• Helped Mission Viejo to a No. 1 national ranking in 2014, as well as CIF and national championships that season, delivering the walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to seal the title.
• Helped her team to a CIF runner-up finish in 2015 and South Coast League championships all four years.
• All-South Coast League selection all four years of high school (2012-15).
• All-Orange County pick from 2013-15.
• A 2015 all-state selection and participant in the 2015 Senior Orange County vs. Inland Empire All-Star Game.
Club
• Played for the OC Batbusters for four year in Orange County, California.
• Was 2015 PGF National Champion.
Personal
• Daughter of Kathleen and John Shafer.
• Her mother is an elementary school teacher and dad is a middle school teacher.
• Majoring in business.
• Enjoys hiking, camping and snowboarding.
• Former prep teammates playing DI softball include: Taylor McQuillin (Arizona), Alyssa Palomino (Arizona), Ally Dickman (Utah), Alysha Everett (Oregon State).
• Was high school teammates with current teammate Alysha Everett at Mission Viejo HS.
• Favorite athlete is Jessica Mendoza.
• Chose Oregon State because "it was always a dream of mine to play in the Pac-12. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play for Coach Berg and Corvallis isn't too far away from home."
• Currently the Secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
