OREGON STATE 2011-12 Rowed in the 7 seat for the Varsity 8+ boat at the University of Victoria and Gonzaga. Also rowed in the 3 seat for the Varsity 8+ boat at the San Diego Crew Classic, Michigan Invite, Washington State, and Pac-12 Championship. Laney's Boat finished first at Gonzaga and the San Diego Crew Classic.
2010-11 Karly raced in several boats, mostly the Varsity 4+, in 2011 ... Rowed in the stroke seat of the V4+, helping the Beavers to a fifth place finish in the Grand Finals at the San Diego Crew Classic ... Rowed in the Second Varsity 8 at the Lake Natoma Invitational and at Pac-10 Championships ... Raced in the Second Varsity 4+ at the Elk Lake Spring Regatta and at Gonzaga ... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team.
2009-10 Rowed in the bow seat of the Novice 8+ boat ... N8 posted wins against Gonzaga, Victoria, UCLA, Washington State and placed fourth at Pac-10 Championships.
CORVALLIS HS Member of the varsity basketball team for three years, winning league and attending state for two ... Varsity golf all four years, went to state as an individual in 2008 and 2009 ... Member of the National Honor Society ... Helped coordinate the Mr. Spartan 2009 pageant and raised over $126,000 for the Mario Pastega House and the Good Samaritan Cancer Foundation in Corvallis, Ore.
