Four Beavers Score in Commanding 4-1 Victory
October 12, 2025 | Women's Soccer
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's soccer was victorious on Sunday, defeating the San Diego Toreros, 4-1, at Paul Lorenz Field.
Four different Beavers scored in this one as the team found the back of the net three times in the opening 45 minutes of play, led off by Carly Carraher before Avery Pleiman and Adele Shwab added to the fun. Alyssa White scored in the 61st minute to make the lead four with the visitors getting one back in the 70th.
Schwab, who was credited with an assist on Carraher's opening goal, now leads the team in assists (three) and points (seven) while sitting in a three-way tie for the top mark for goals scored (two). White, who also finished with one goal and one assist, is in a two-way tie for the team lead in total points (six) and finished Sunday's game with four shots (two on goal) across 89 minutes played.
Carraher opened the game's scoring just 25 minutes into the game, taking a feed from Schwab and finishing at the near post with her left foot. Carraher, who scored twice in a 3-1 win over San Diego last season, now has a pair of goals and pair of assists across 13 appearances in 2025.
Pleiman's goal was her first as a collegiate athlete, as the freshman from Independence, Ky., has played her way into a consistent role in the Beavers' lineup, playing 149 minutes across two starts this week. Emily Ibsen was credited with an assist on Pleiman's 30th-minute goal and added her name to the scoresheet with another assist just 10 minutes later off a set piece from near the midfield line.
Sunday's four-goal outburst was the most goals scored in a game by OSU women's soccer since a 4-2 home win over Gonzaga on Sept. 28, 2024, and marks the first time OSU has scored three-plus goals in a game this season.
Oregon State is on the road for its next contest, heading to Santa Clara, Calif., to face the Santa Clara Broncos, before returning home to face Washington State on Oct. 22. Tickets can be purchased by calling 800-GO-BEAVS (541-737-4455) or visiting beav.es/SoccerTickets.
