Fuenmayor Posts Second Straight Round Of 70 To Cap Goodwin Event

SAN FRANCISCO – Mateo Fuenmayor finished with his second consecutive tally of 70 to lead the Oregon State men's golf team in its third and final round Saturday at The Goodwin, held at TPC Harding Park.
Fuenmayor connected on three birdies Saturday and finished with 11 at the par-70, 7,193-yard course. He paced Oregon State overall as the Beavers finished tied for 19th in the 31-team field. Individually, Fuenmayor tied for 23rd.
Jackson Lake and Stanley Lin each had their best rounds of the event on Saturday. The duo both shot a 1-over 71; Lake made four birdies while Lin finished with three.
Lake ended the three-round event tied for 92nd at 10-over 220. Lin finished tied for 118th with a 12-over 222.
Lake tallied eight birdies while Lin ended the event with seven.
Rylan Johnson finished second on the team, with an overall score of 5-over 215. He shot a 3-over 73 on Saturday and tied for 46th with a 5-over 215. Johnson birdied twice over the final 18 holes and had seven overall.
Collin Hodgkinson shot a 6-over 76 on Saturday and 20-over 230 for the event. He tied for 160th.
The Beavers next compete in the Seattle Redhawk Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
