
Fuenmayor’s 2-under Paces Beavers At Day Two Of The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Oregon State men's golf team shot a 5-under 269 in the second round of The Prestige Tuesday, with Mateo Fuenmayor posting a 2-under 69 to lead the way.
Fuenmayor posted four birdies, with three coming over the back nine. He's now at a 3-over 145 at the tournament, which is being held at the par-71, 7,100-yard PGA West Greg Norman Golf Course.
Fuenmayor is tied for 67th after two rounds.
Oregon State is at a 1-over 569 after 36 holes, and enters the final round of the event tied for 13th with UCLA. The Beavers and Bruins are one shy shot of No. 12 Northwestern and five behind No. 8 Colorado State.
Jackson Lake continues to lead the Beavers after recording a 1-under 70 on Tuesday, and enters Wednesday's final round with a 1-under 141. Lake recorded three birdies in the second round, and is tied for 33rd after 36 holes.
Rylan Johnson also a 1-under par 70 on Tuesday, and overall is one shot behind Nicolas Quintero, who is at a 1-over 143 overall. Johnson finished with four birdies and finds himself tied for 58th after 36 holes.
Quintero, meanwhile, finished with a par-71 on Tuesday, connecting on four birdies as well. Quintero enters the last day of action tied for 48th.
Collin Hodgkinson posted a 4-over 75 and is at a 6-over 148 in 36 holes. He is tied for 91st.
Stanley Lin is competing in the individual event and posted a 3-over 75 on Tuesday. He is tied for 27th after 36 holes with a 3-over 147.
