Natalie Higgins nearly found the breakthrough in the 28th minute, when she forced a diving save following a corner from Jones. The Beavers would follow that up by earning a set piece just outside the box in the 38th minute, but Leblic's cross was handled by the Arizona State net-minder.

Kayla Latham made an effort in the 74th minute, but her shot drifted high.
Oregon State controlled the majority of the final 30 minutes, but the Sun Devils went ahead by two goals in the 81st minute, when a shot bounced off the crossbar and into the net.
Santiago got the Beavers back within a goal two minutes later, hitting a shot from 20 yards out that found the net. Oregon State continued to press forward from there, but the Sun Devils were able to see things out to secure the win.
Redshirt-sophomore Emery Wallerich made her season debut in the match, coming on early in the first half, while redshirt-freshman Kyllie-Ann Yasutake made her Oregon State debut in the second half.
Oregon State remains on the road next week, as it heads to Los Angeles for a matchup with No. 10/10 USC.
