OREGON STATE
2000-2001: Jason should be one of the premier centers on the West Coast as a senior…possesses solid low post offensive skills, partly due to his quick feet for a man of his stature…runs the floor well…has improved his strength every year in the program…if he remains healthy for the entire season, he should be a postseason honors candidate.
1999-2000: Heide had a frustrating junior season after battling a multitude of injuries and illness…in his junior season alone, he suffered a broken right thumb, sprained right ankle, back spasms, and a virus…through all of the setbacks, Heide still managed to average 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds for the season…in addition he shot .495 from the field…over the final four games of the season, he improved his numbers to 13.8 points per game and .585 (24-41) from the field…he was selected a member of the SoCon Holiday Hoops All-Tournament Team, after averaging 12.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in games against South Carolina State, Mississippi, and Clemson…he notched double-doubles for the season against Denver (14 pts, 10 reb), and vs. Washington (15 pts, 10 reb)…matched his career-high with 21 points in back-to-back games vs. Eastern Washington and Wyoming…Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic First Team selection.
1998-99: Heide was third for the team in scoring at 10.9 points per game and second in rebounding at 5.6...finished fourth in the Pac-10 Conference for field goal shooting percentage at .540, and 17th for rebounding...started 12 of the 27 games, including the last eight...hit double figures for points 12 times, including in four of the last eight games...recorded a career-high 21 points at UCLA, and tallied 20 vs. Chicago State...also had a pair of 18-point efforts at Arizona State and vs. Colorado State...reached double figures for rebounds three times, including a career-high 11 at California...he attempted 10 or more field goals eight times, and in seven of those games shot at least 53 percent...named Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic second team...recipient of the Jim Anderson Award, signifying the team's most improved player.
1997-98: Jason had a solid true-freshman season averaging 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 23 games...shot a respectable .467 (28-60) from the field...missed two games with mononucleosis, and was hampered for most of the first half of the season with other viruses...scored a season-high 15 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in his first collegiate game, vs. UC San Diego...also had a 10-point performance in the season finale at Stanford...finished the season hitting 7 of his last 9 field goal attempts (.778).

Jason lettered and started three years for Head Coach Sam Moscatel...all-state selection as a senior...two-time All-KingCo selection...named the area's prep athlete of the week twice...team captain as a junior and senior...played in the Nike Senior Classic...averaged 20 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots as a senior...averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds and two blocked shots as a junior, and 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots as a sophomore...also lettered two years in track.

GAMES OF NOTE
Dec. 20, 1999 vs. Wyoming -- Heide matched his career high of 21 points against a program that recruited him out of high school...he hit 7 of 10 from the field, and 7 of 8 at the free throw line in one of his best performances as a Beaver...the game did prove costly for Heide, as he broke his right thumb, an injury that was not diagnosed until nearly a week later.
Dec. 15, 1999 vs. Eastern Washington -- Heide matched his career-high with 21 points in the victory over the Eagles...his game included hitting 8 of 12 field goals attempts, all five of his free throw attempts, and adding three blocked shots, three assists, and three steals.
