Beavers come up short vs #9 Virginia, Duke

Oregon State was in Charlottesville, Virginia this weekend to race against nationally ranked Virginia and Duke. The Beavers races against #9 Virginia Saturday, and then battled against Duke on Sunday.
The Varsity Eight boat finished in a time of 6:49.2, and was beat by over 7 seconds against Virginia, and then finished in a time of 6:51.0, and
got beat by under 2 seconds by Duke.
The JV Eight finished in a time of 6:45.1, and lost to Virginia's A team, but did beat Virginia's B team. Then they beat Duke by over 6 seconds, in a time of 6:56.2.
The Novice Eight won both of their races, beating Virginia by 11 seconds, then they beat Duke by 27 seconds.
The Varsity Four was also in action this weekend losing to Virginia by over four seconds finishing in a time of 7:24.1, but then they beat Duke by 27 seconds, in a time of 7:47.0.
The Beavers are off next weekend, but they resume racing in two weeks when they battle Pac-10 foe Washington in Seattle.
