Draper Throws No-Hitter As Beavers Beat Saint Peter's

TUCSON, Ariz. - Crystal Draper threw her first career no-hitter as the No. 10 Oregon State softball team defeated Saint Peter's, 13-0, in five innings at the Hillenbrand Classic on Saturday.
Draper was one wild pitch away from a perfect game, and she struck out seven batters with no walks to improve to a perfect 7-0 on the season.
The Beaver offense also shined, picking up a season-high 16 hits for the game. Tarrah Beyster, Jenni Jodoin and Brynnen Guthrie each had three hits and scored three times, while Shawna Feldt and Parisa Plant each added two hits.
Beyster hit two home runs and drove in six runs, while Feldt also homered, scored twice and drove in two runs. Guthrie, Jodoin, Stephanie Adams and Parisa Plant all doubled for the Beavers.
OSU (17-4-1) has now won its last 11 games, while Saint Peter's dropped to 0-5 on the year.
The Beavers wrap up the Hillenbrand Classic with a 7 a.m. PST game against Northwestern on Sunday.
