Women's Track Earns USTFCCCA Academic Accolade

New Orleans, La. – The Oregon State women’s track team added another award to its already impressive list by being named as a 2009 U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Track and Field and Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.
The Beavers joined 129 other Division I programs, finishing tied for seventh on the list with Brown University with a cumulative 3.46 GPA. Oregon State boasted the best team GPA in the Pacific-10 conference, with Stanford posting the next best GPA, with a 3.40 to finish 21st.
Tennessee and Arizona State were named the Scholar Teams of the Year with Tennessee taking the indoor track and field nod, while the Sun Devils were honored for their outdoor track and field success.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, it must have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative grade point average.
