EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon State women's cross country team competed Saturday in the sixth annual Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon at the Springfield Country Club. The Beavers finished fourth overall with 118 points. "It was an overall good day," head coach Kelly Sullivan said. "We ran Laura and Casey for the first time so they both ran really well and both know they can do a lot better, so they are both excited. We have held them both back for the last month or so, so there is definitely a lot left in the tank.” Freshman Kinsey Gomez rounded out the top five for the Beavers finishing 36th overall behind Steinbeck with a time of 17:44.55. Freshman Kelsi Schaer ran unattached for the Beavers and finished 48th with a time of 17:58.63. Freshman Aly Nielson finished 59th with a time of 18:12.97. “Kelsi, Kinsey and Aly all ran really well today,” Sullivan said. “They are progressing and especially with the first week of class, that can always be a little extra stressful. So I am excited about their progress and they are excited about how well they are doing.” Erin Jones and Olivia Poblacion finished right after the other finishing seventh and eighth for the Beavers. Jones finished with a time of 18:05.59 and Poblacion finished with a time of 18:06.37.
