July 6, 2010
Corvallis, Ore. – Season and single-match tickets for the 2010 Oregon State volleyball season are on sale now through the Oregon State Athletic Ticket Office.
Watch all 15 home matches by purchasing season tickets for $80 for adults and $50 for seniors and youth. Single-match prices are $7 for adults, $5 for youth/seniors and $2 per person for groups of 20 or more. All seating is general admission.
After the annual free Orange and Black Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 12:00 p.m. in legendary Gill Coliseum, Oregon State hosts its home opener in the Corvallis Invitational, squaring off against Portland, Sacramento State and Ilinois State on August 27-28.
The team then hosts Florida Gulf Coast, UNLV and Michigan in the Corvallis Invitational the following weekend before wrapping up its non-conference schedule on the road at tournaments at College of Charleston and UC Davis.
Prepare for more upsets from this Beaver squad, as it returns nine letterwinners from last year’s squad, five starters, including seniors outside hitter Jill Sawatzky and middle blocker Kiersten Sambrailo.
Sawatzky and Sambrailo are joined by sophomores setter Megan McBride, defensive specialist Alyssa O’Neil and middle blocker Ashley Eneliko. And Oregon State adds its largest group of newcomers under head coach Taras Liskeyvch of nine, all competing for playing time.
As always, the Beavers face a tough schedule with 11 2009 NCAA Tournament opponents over the course of their 31 matches. These include eight Pac-10 schools, a pair of which advanced to the Sweet 16 round or further last season.
