Registration Now Open for Oregon State Volleyball Summer Camps

Corvallis, Ore. – Registration is now open for the 2011 Oregon State Volleyball Summer Camps including commuter and overnight all-skills camps, a specialized skills camp and brand new beach volleyball camp.

Campers of all skill levels between the ages of 12-18 are invited to attend an Oregon State Volleyball Camp. The camps feature two intense three-hour instructional sessions per camp day with interspersed matches. In between sessions, campers eat and enjoy free time. Evening sessions for the all-skills camps will feature extra court time, pool time and/or other activity options. Overnight campers stay in on-campus dorms with adult supervision.

Campers' volleyball skills are evaluated in the first camp session, and they are divided into like skill groups to best facilitate learning. Court coaches are constantly assessing and moving campers to the most appropriate group throughout camp.

Oregon State volleyball coaching staff members are present at all sessions. Each court is lead by a highly qualified coach and assisted by a current Oregon State volleyball team member.

The hallmark camp of Oregon State volleyball, the Overnight All-Skills Camp features the six-skill instruction of the commuter camp, extended over four days. Campers increase not only their skills and knowledge of the game but also experience staying on the beautiful Oregon State campus. One camp’s session will feature a special “Question & Answer” session on college volleyball. The cost for the four-day camp (July 16-19) is $390.

The Commuter All-Skills Camp provides instruction on all aspects of the game. Sessions will focus on the six volleyball skills: serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking and defense. Campers will increase their overall knowledge of the game and develop and refine their volleyball skills during their stay. The two-day camp (July 20-21) costs $180.

A popular attraction last year, this year’s Specialized Skills Camp will be broken up into two day-long camps. Campers sign up for only one specific skill set per day-long camp: setting, hitting, or defense. Campers are welcome to sign up for only one or both days. Specialty Skills Camp is a commuter-only camp. The cost for each day (July 15 or 16) is $95.

And new to the camps offered by Oregon State t his year is the Beach Volleyball Camp. Campers will focus on the skills of sand volleyball in this exciting new camp. Campers may attend one or both days of the camp, which will be held on three newly constructed courts at Oregon State. The cost for each day (July 15 or 16) is $110, and registration is limited to the first 30 campers per day.
