Volleyball Swept By No. 6 Washington

SEATTLE - Ashley Eneliko recorded 11 kills and Becky Defoe tallied 13 digs but the Oregon State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 6 Washington Saturday night at Bank of Arena. Set scores were 15-25, 13-256 and 22-25.
Eneliko picked up her third consecutive match in double figures and the senior has 39 over that stretch. She had her 11 kills in 23 attacks.
Defoe, meanwhile, inched closer to breaking her own school record for digs - she had 555 last season and now has 554 this season. The junior also moved into sole possession of second place in school history for a career at 1,491.
The Beavers hit .144 in the match, which was surpassed by mark of .245. The Huskies (22-5 overall, 13-5 Pac-12 Conference) were led by Cassie Strickland's 10 kills.
Oregon State (14-16, 4-14) out-blocked the Huskies, 6-5.5 and had 42 digs to Washington's 37.
Haley Clarke led the Beavers with three blocks.
Washington went up 2-0 by hitting .333 in set one and .346 in set two. The Huskies went up 1-0 with a 25-15 set one victory and then jumped out to a 2-0 advantage with a 25-13 win in set two.
The Huskies took the third and final set with a 25-22 win. OSU hit .162 to .146 for UW, and pulled to within two, 22-20, but could not force a fourth set.
Oregon State returns home next week for the last two matches of regular season play. The Beavers host USC Tuesday night at 8 p.m. PT in a match scheduled for Pac-12 Oregon. OSU then hosts Oregon in the Civil War presented by Pacific Source, Your Local Ford Stores, Wells Fargo and McDonald's. That match starts at 8 p.m. Friday and will also be televised on Pac-12 Oregon.
