The Oregon State track and field team will be splitting up this weekend with a group traveling to Seattle, Wash. for the last indoor meet and another group heading to McMinnville, Ore. to start the outdoor season.
The Oregon State track and field teams finished competition at the Husky Classic today, which was highlighted by Laura Carlyle setting a new school record in the mile for the second meet in a row.
The Oregon State track and field team is heading back to Seattle for another meet hosted by the University of Washington. The Beavers are traveling 15 student-athletes to this weekends Husky Classic.
The Oregon State track and field team is ready to kick-off their 2012 track season with the Husky Invite in Seattle, Wash.
OREGON STATE CROSS COUNTRY:
2010: Finished 40th at the John Frank Memorial with a time of 18:12.80 in the 4,500 meter run ... Finished 10th in the 6,000 meter run at the Linfield Preview with a time of 24:33.61 ... Finished 62nd at the Bill Dellinger Invitational with a season best time of 23:52.87.
2009: Redshirted the cross country season ... Competed unattached at the Mike Hodges Invitational and OSU Beaver Classic.
OREGON STATE INDOOR TRACK:
2011: Competed twice in the mile run finishing ninth at both the University of Washington Invitational (1/29) and the Husky Classic (2/12) and posting her best time of 5:14.45 at the Husky Classic.
OREGON STATE OUTDOOR TRACK:
2011: Competed in the 1,500 meters three times ... Best finish was ninth at the John Knight Twilight (4/8) and best time was 4:56.75 at the Linfield Icebreaker (3/5) ... Competed in the 800 meters twice placing eighth at the L&C Invitational (4/16) and the Oregon Relays (4/22) with the best time of 2:23.36 coming at the L&C Invitational ... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team honors.
2010: Competed five times in the 1,500 meter run ... Best finish was a third place finish at the Mt. Hood Twilight (5/7) ... Best time in the 1,500 meters was 4:52.00 at the Lewis & Clark Invitational (4/17).
SOUTH EUGENE HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in cross country and track under head coach Jeff Hess ... Team captain ... Named Most Outstanding as a freshman and senior ... Most Inspirational.
