Swimming Hosts Washington State for Senior Day

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's swim team host two meets this weekend in Stevens Natatorium at Dixon Recreation Center. The Beavers take on Washington State Friday night starting at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. against Idaho. This will be the first and only opportunity to see the team swim at home this season.

Friday the team will honor their seniors who will be competing at home for Oregon State for the last time. These girls have made their mark and will be missed in the upcoming seasons. They are, Keri Holmstrom, Ashley Kerekanich, Rachel Polack, and Rachel Wahl.

Holmstrom ranks third all-time at Oregon State in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle. With a time of 23.41 Kerekanich is fifth all-time at Oregon State in the 50 freestyle.

Wahl has the top time of the season in the 400 individual medley for the Beavers with a time of 4:26.97 and recorded a dual win against San Diego State University in the same event. She is also on the Oregon State all-time lists in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly and in the 400 individual medley.

Following this weekend the Beavers head out to Seattle, Washington on February 5th to compete in a dual meet against Boise State and Seattle Universlty.
