Beavers take two out of three at Arizona
Jan. 8, 2010
TUCSON, Ariz. - The Oregon State women's swim team fell Friday to Pacific-10 Conference opponent Arizona but defeated Northern Arizona and New Mexico State in a four-way meet in Tucson, Ariz.
"The girls came in a little tired today," Oregon State swimming head coach Larry Liebowitz said. "They raced hard and with enthusiasm. It was good to come away with two wins today."
Seniors Anna Crandall and Brittney Iverson anchored the Beavers on the day both coming away with third place finish. Crandall finished third in the 200y freestyle with a time of 1:52.52. Iverson finished one place back with a time of 1:53.84.
Iverson finished third in the 200y butterfly with a time of 2:06.11.
"The second meet of back-to-back meets is usually a little better," Liebowitz said. "I expect them to come out tomorrow and swim well."
The Beavers look to bounce back against the Arizona State Sun Devils tomorrow, Saturday Jan. 9 starting at 11 a.m.
