CORVALLIS, Ore. - Tickets for the 2012 Cathedral City Softball Classic, the nation's premier Division I softball tournament, are now available for $40 through the Oregon State Athletic Ticket Office online or by calling 1-800-GO BEAVS.

By purchasing an all-tournament pass in advance; fans will receive a $10 discount. Advanced tickets are $40, while those purchased at the tournament are $50.

Passes to the annual event just outside of Palm Springs include entrance to every game over the four-day tournament, held from Thursday, Feb. 23 to Sunday, Feb. 26 at Big League Dreams Sports Parks in Cathedral City, Calif. All seats are general admission.

The 2012 Cathedral City Classic features 35 NCAA Division I schools, including 22 NCAA Tournament teams from last season and five of the eight squads that advanced to the 2011 Women's College World Series (WCWS). Fourteen teams finished last season ranked in the top 25 and eight of the 10 NCAA Champions in the sport will be at the tournament, representing 27 of the 30 all-time national titles since the NCAA WCWS began in 1982.

Additionally, 17 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Americans from 2011 will be playing for their schools at the tournament come February, including both the 2011 USA Softball National Player of the Year and the Co-Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Women's College World Series.
