Junior forward scored seven goals and tallied an assist in 2012, also played on Canadian National Team

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State junior forward Jenna Richardson has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s All-Pacific Team for the second straight season. Like she was last season, the Surrey, B.C. native earned Second Team honors for her performance on the pitch.

Richardson collected 15 points, scored seven goals and added an assist during her junior campaign, all while missing her team’s first four matches as she suited up for the Canadian National Team at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.

While overseas, Richardson started all three matches her country played and even scored a goal, her first in international competition. After coming back to Corvallis, the striker’s impact was felt immediately as she scored two goals in a pair of matches, including her team’s Pac-12 opener against Utah.

Richardson was no stranger to on-the-field accolades during 2012 as she earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors for Week No. 6 and was named the 16th best player in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer and their mid-season rankings. By regular season’s end, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team and the Pac-12’s All-Academic First Team for the 3.86 GPA she earned inside the classroom.

Heading into 2013, Richardson stands alone in sixth place on OSU’s all-time program list for goals scored, with 24. She is just four behind teammate Chelsea Buckland (28) for fourth, and ten back of Val Williams (34) who played from 1994-95, for second place.
