Website gives the OSU midfielder a third team slot on the All-American list and a first team spot on the All-Conference roster CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2012 soccer regular season has not even been over for a week and already Oregon State senior midfielder Megan Miller is receiving a pair of post season awards. This week, Miller was named third team All-American by collegesportsmadness.com as well as first team All-Pac-12 by the same website. The Federal Way, Wash., native finished her senior campaign with a team high 22 points, eight goals and six assists. She had just one goal, three assists and five total points entering the 2012 campaign. Miller also finds herself in the top ten among Pac-12 players in a number of significant statistical categories, which include points (tied for sixth), goals (tied for seventh) and assists (sixth). The midfielder was one of only 10 Pac-12 players selected to the 52-member All-American squad, which includes teams one through four. She, along with goal keeper Katelyn Rowland (UCLA) and defender Alina Garciamendez of Stanford are the only three Pac-12 representatives that can be found on the third team. Miller is the lone Oregon State player on the all-conference list as she is one of just four midfielders given Pac-12 first team honors. These honors are the four-year starter’s first post-season award, following a regular season in which she was named to the Top Drawer Soccer’s National Team of the Week on two occasions.
