Women's Rowing Heads East for Michigan Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. -
Two weeks after an impressive showing at the San Diego Crew Classic, the Oregon State women's rowing team is set to travel to the Michigan Invitation to continue its spring season this Saturday, April 14. On a busy day, the Beavers will race Michigan and Tennessee at 9:20 a.m. and will match up against Ohio State and Tennessee at 1:10 p.m. Oregon State will have four crews compete on the waters of Belleville Lake in the invitational that includes No. 3 Michigan, No. 6 Ohio State, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Each of the crews will race twice. The Beavers' Novice 8 (9:20 a.m. ET), Varsity 4+ (10:10 a.m.), Second Varsity 8 (10:30 a.m.) and Varsity 8 (10:50 a.m.) will begin racing against Michigan at 9:20 a.m. Tennessee crews will also be in the V8, 2V8 and V4 races. The V8, 2V8 and V4 crews will also compete later in the afternoon against Ohio State and Tennessee, while the N8 will face Ohio State in the afternoon session. The N8's will go at 1:10 p.m., the V4's will race at 2 p.m., the 2V8 will go at 2:20 p.m. and the V8 will wrap up the day of racing at 2:40 p.m. Last time out on April 2, the Beavers V8 finished second at in the grand final at the San Diego Crew Classic, while OSU's V4 and 2V8 finished fifth and sixth in the petite finals respectively.
