Rowed in the 8 seat for the Novice 8+ boat at the University of Victoria. Sherer also rowed bow for the Novice 8+ boat at Gonzaga, the San Diego Crew Classic, Michigan Invite, and Pac-12 Championship. Sherer also rowed in the 7 seat for the Novice 8+ boat at Washington State. Sherer's boat finished first at Gonzaga and both the morning and afternoon sessions of the Michigan Invite.
