Women's Rowing Heads East for Michigan Invitational
OREGON STATE 2011-12 Rowed in the 2 seat for the Varsity 8+ boat at the University of Victoria. Also rowed bow for the Varsity 8+ boat at Gonzaga. Polis rowed in the 2 seat for the 2nd Varsity 8+ boat at the San Diego Crew Classic and Washington State. Polis rowed in the 4 seat for the 2nd Varsity 8+ boat at the Michigan Invite and bow for the same boat at the Pac-12 Championship. Polis' boat finished first at Gonzaga.
2010-11 Hilary rowed in the Varsity 8 all season ... Named to the All-Pac-10 First Team ... Helped the V8 to a second place finish at the Elk Lake Spring Regatta ... Rowed in V8 in victory at Gonzaga ... Rowed in the V8 at the Pac-10 Championships ... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic First Team.
2009-10 Rowed in the four-seat of the Novice 8+ at Pac-10 Championships finishing fourth ... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic First Team honors.
REDMOND HS Member of the National Honor Society ... President of the environmental club ... Was in the Varsity 4+boat, took first place at the Head of the Lake regatta in 2008 ... Also in the Varsity 8+ boat, took fifth in the 2008 San Diego Crew Classic
PERSONAL Daughter of Marilyn and Steve Polis ... Favorite athlete is Jacquizz Rodgers ... Chose Oregon State because it "just felt right" ... Outside of rowing Hilary enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and spending time outdoors ... Majoring in Environmental Economics, Policy & Management ...
