Kayla (K.J.) rowed mostly in the Varsity 8 in 2011 earning her first letter ... Raced in stroke seat of the Second Varsity 8 at the San Diego Crew Classic finishing first in the Petite Final ... Set the pace in the stroke seat of the 2V8 at the Elk Lake Spring Regatta helping the Beavers to the victory ... Rowed in the bow seat of the Varsity 4+ at Gonzaga finishing first ... Raced in the V8 at the Pac-10 Championships ... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team.

2009-2010
Rowed in the Novice 8+ boat in both the fifth and third seat ... N8 posted wins against Gonzaga, Victoria, UCLA, Washington State and placed fourth at Pac-10 Championships.

CORVALLIS HS
Played varsity basketball for three years winning the league championship in 2008 and 2009 ... Varsity golf for all four years, qualifying to state in both 2008 and 2009 ... Was a member of the National Honor Society ... Selected as Mr. Spartan Girl and raised over $120,000 for the Mario Pastega House and the Good Samaritan Cancer Foundation
