WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Meghan Leineweber (rowing), Leslie Mak (gymnastics), Brian Ramsey (soccer) and Leslie Urban (rowing) were part of a group of 48 outstanding Pac-12 student-athletes named as recipients of Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarships for the 2011-12 academic year as announced by Commissioner Larry Scott on Thursday.

The $3,000 awards go to student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 grade point average who have also demonstrated a commitment to continuing education, campus and community involvement, and leadership. Since the program began in 1999, the Pac-12 has awarded over $1.5 million for postgraduate study.

Leineweber, a three-time Pac-10/12 All-Academic Second Team selection, rowed for four years at Oregon State from 2007-11, racing in the V8 as a senior, the V4 as a junior and helping produce a third-place finish at the NCAA Championship in the Third Level Final as a sophomore. She was honored by OSU as an Everyday Champion in 2011.

Among numerous accolades Mak, the two-time defending Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year, was an All-American in both 2011 (First Team, All-Around & Balance Beam) and 2012 (Second Team, Balance Beam & Floor Exercise). She was a 2010, 2011 & 2012 Pac-10/12 All-Academic Second Team selection and was one of Oregon State's Everyday Champions in 2010.

Ramsey played four years on the pitch for the Beavers (2007-10), notching eight goals, seven assists and 23 points in 58 games. He was selected to the All-Pac-10 Second Team following his senior season in which he finished second on the team in goals (5) and third in assists (2).

Urban, a three-time Pac-10/12 All-Academic First Team selection and two-time Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athlete, spent four years on the water at Oregon State from 2008-12 in a variety of boats, including rowing in the bow seat of the Varsity 4+ at the NCAA Championships as a freshman in 2008-09.
