Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship Live Scoring

PULLMAN, Wash. - Sophomores Lauren Sewell and Seshia Telles each shot a 1-over 73 and senior Whitney French finished with a 2-over 74 to lead the Oregon State women's golf team in the second round of the Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship being played in Pullman, Wash.

As a team, Oregon State knocked 17 strokes off Friday's opening round, with much better weather conditions helping immensely, but the Beavers fell to 11th place with a 41-over 317-300--617 at the par-72, 6,200-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Course.

"The course conditions were excellent today and we had three good scores," Oregon State head coach Risë Alexander said "We just did not have a good fourth score to complete the day. Depth and consistency on this team definitely needs to improve. The goal for tomorrow is to play with commitment, trust and intensity. We need to focus 100 percent of the time and that will lend itself to a good scoring day."

Sewell had birdies on the par-4 second and par-4 12th holes, to go along with three bogeys, for her 73 and is tied for 29th overall with an 8-over 79-73-152.

Telles started on the 10th hole and reeled off 14 straight pars before finishing with a birdie and two bogies and sits in a tie for 39th place with a 10-over 81-73--154.

French moved into a tie for 43rd after Saturday's 74 that included one birdie and three bogeys and is 12-over par through the first 36 holes after an 82 on Friday.

"I was very pleased with Lauren, Seshia and Whitney's effort today," Alexander said. "They were consistent today and we will make a few adjustments in our strategy for them tomorrow."

Freshman Anica Yoo didn't take advantage of the better weather conditions after posting an impressive 5-over 77 in terrible weather conditions on Friday, finishing the second round with an 8-over 80, while junior Rachael Fischer had a 81 on Saturday after carding an 80 in the opening round.

Tee times for the final round begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday and the Beavers will be paired with Washington and Washington State with Fischer (8:56 a.m.), Yoo (9:04 a.m.), French (9:12 a.m.), Telles (9:20 a.m.) and Sewell (9:28 a.m.) going out in that order off the 10th hole.
