CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State wrestling team heads to winter break this week and the Beavers will go into it knowing they have jumped a spot to 13th in the NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll. The Beavers were ranked 14th last week.

Oregon State moved up a spot due in large part to victories over Wyoming, 20-15, and Air Force, 42-3, both on the road. The wins pushed Oregon State's record to 5-1-2 this season.

Oregon State is receiving 121 points in this week's ranking, and the Beavers are one of three Pacific-10 Conference teams in the top 25; Boise State is seventh and Arizona State finds itself at No. 24.

The Beavers have been in the top 25 rankings every week this season, and have been as high as No. 12 two weeks ago.

In other rankings, Oregon State remained steady in d1collegewrestling.net's top 25 at No. 17 and the Beavers are 16th according to The Open Mat.

The Beavers are on a near two-week break before resuming competition Dec. 29 and 30 at the Southern Scuffle in Greensboro, N.C. Visit osubeavers.com for a preview and full recaps and results from the two-day championship.
