Big Time Bouts Sunday> Of the 20 wrestlers who will see action on the mats for the teams Sunday, 13 are ranked in the top 20 of Intermat’s individual rankings (the Beavers have six and eight according to D1CollegeWrestling.net). Bouts at 133 (No. 15 Garrett Drucker/No. 2 Andrew Hochstrasser), 141 (No. 11 Mike Mangrum/No. 18 Levi Jones), 149 (No. 20 Scott Sakaguchi/No. 3 Jason Chamberlain) and 174 (No. 6 Colby Covington/No. 11 Jake Swartz) will feature bouts with two ranked wrestlers.
Covington Streak> Colby Covington will have a chance to extend his win streak Sunday to 11 bouts. He has a long way to go for his career-long, however, as he won 17 straight from Jan. 7 to March 18 last season. Covington is 52-8 all-time at OSU, a winning percentage of .867. If the season were to end today, that would be tied for 11th-best in team history, and the best mark of the 21st Century.
