CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State men's soccer team had four student-athletes honored on All-Pac-12 squads when the conference's First, Second and Honorable Mention Teams were announced by Commissioner Larry Scott on Tuesday afternoon.

Emery Welshman received recognition on the All-Pac-12 First Team, Roberto Farfan was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and Chris Harms and Colin Mitchell earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention nods in a vote by the conference's coaches for their performances during the 2011 season.

Welshman, playing his first year for the Beavers after transferring from Siena College, started all 18 games, totaling three goals and seven assists. An able facilitator up top, Welshman tied the Oregon State record for consecutive games with an assist (5) when he notched one in every match from Sept. 25 to Oct. 14. His seven total assists placed him third in the Pac-12 and tied him for seventh all-time in OSU history for a single season. Welshman's 61 shots in 2011 were also good enough for second in the conference and sixth all-time at Oregon State.

The Mississauga, Ontario-native was honored as the Bank of the West Pac-12 Player of the Week on Oct. 4 for his one-goal, one-assist effort in the Beavers' upset of then-No. 22 Washington in what was the league opener for both teams. Welshman becomes just the fifth player in Oregon State history to earn a spot on the conference's First Team, joining current professionals Danny Mwanga (2009), Robbie Findley (2004-05), Ryan Johnson (2004-05) and Alan Gordon (2002-03).

Roberto Farfan received his first conference recognition, earning a spot on the All-Pac-12 Second Team. The junior midfielder tallied 10 total points on four goals and two assists during the season, scoring all but one of his goals in conference contests. With seven career goals and six career assists, Farfan is the active Oregon State leader in points with 20. He joined the Beavers after playing his freshman season at UNLV in 2009.

Redshirt juniors Chris Harms and Colin Mitchell each received their second All-Pac-12 honor, as both were named to the conference's Honorable Mention Team. After missing much of last season due to injury, both Harms and Mitchell played in all 18 games in 2011. A captain this season, Harms took 15 shots, assisted on one goal and shut down opponents from his spot on the back line. Mitchell scored three times, highlighted by a two-goal effort against Stanford on Oct. 16 when he scored just 21 seconds apart.

Harms previously received a spot on the All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention Team in 2009 and Mitchell was named to the league's Second Team that same season.

Oregon State and California are the only Pac-12 schools that will return each one of their All-Conference honorees for the 2012 season.
