Men's Golf Heads To Eugene For Oregon Duck Invitational
March 20, 2011
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State men's golf team will compete at the 15-team Oregon Duck Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene. Play will consist of 54 holes over two days with two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,020-yard layout. Team scoring will consist of counting the four best scores of each five-man team after each round. "I'm really excited about the week," Oregon State head coach Jon Reehoorn said. "This is the first time with this lineup, which will be interesting to see how the team responds. It's a great field and will be a good measuring stick to see how we matchup. "This also has Civil War points at stake, so anytime you play against the Ducks, especially in their hometown, it's a big deal," Reehoorn added. "We'll give it everything we can to go there and take them down." The Beavers will go with a lineup of juniors Alex Moore and Casey King, sophomores Nick Sherwood and Jeff Petroff and freshman David Fink. Junior Jonnie Motomochi and freshman Travis Milleman will play as individuals. There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start both days and live scoring throughout the tournament will be available at www.golfstat.com. 2011 Oregon Duck Invitational Field:
