Prior to the season the biggest question mark on the offensive side of the football was the line. The Beavers weren’t particularly deep and had a host of newcomers that needed to make immediate impacts.

With just the Valero Alamo Bowl remaining, all things considered, the line has played better than could have been expected. OSU’s offensive numbers have improved in every major category, and most of that credit goes to the line. Junior guard Grant Enger and true freshman center Isaac Seumalo earned Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention.  Seumalo, one of only three freshmen starting centers in the country, also garnered Freshman All-America status.

The Beavers were considerably more efficient on offense than a year ago, and with all but tackle Colin Kelly returning for the 2013 season, the future looks bright for Coach Cavs’ (Cavanaugh) unit.

The OSU video team put together the following feature with linemen Josh Andrews, Kelly and offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh.

What is your most embarrassing moment on the football field?
--Colin Kelly: “I don’t really have a good one for that.”
--Grant Enger: “Pulling the wrong way in practice. Not knowing the play and just no one is there.”
--Michael Philipp: “In high school, I was on the front line of the kickoff team. The ball came to me, they told me to fall on it, but I tried to pick it up and run with it but fumbled.”
--Derek Nielsen: “Trying to cut against Cal this season and completely whiffing it, doing a face dive.”
--Isaac Seumalo: “Probably trying to cut somebody because I am not very good at those. It happens pretty much every game.”
