The accolades keep coming for Oregon State redshirt freshman Scott Crichton as he's been named to four more Freshman All-America teams. College Football News, Sporting News, Yahoo! Sports and Phil Steele are the latest media outlets to recognize Crichton's work at defensive end for the Beavers.

Crichton, who started all 12 games for Oregon State in 2011, finished the season with 74 tackles and led all freshmen in the nation with 14.5 tackles-for-loss and six forced fumbles, which set an Oregon State record. In addition, Crichton is tied for No. 2 in the nation among freshmen with six quarterback sacks.

The Tacoma, Wash. native is the 10th Oregon State football player to earn Freshman All-American consideration and eighth to earn first team status. Crichton is the third player in four years following his rookie season joining Jacquizz Rodgers in 2008 and Michael Philipp in 2009.

Spring practice begins March 12 with the Spring Game scheduled for April 28. The 2012 season is scheduled to kickoff Sept. 1 against Nicholls State at Reser Stadium.
