Oregon State freshman defensive end Scott Crichton is among four college football standouts that have advanced to the finals of the All-Star Performances of the Year, Intersport announced today. Crichton was named a finalist for the Defensive Performance of the Year with his 5 tackle, 2 sack and 1 forced fumble against Washington. Joining Crichton in the finals are Louisiana Tech’s Colby Cameron for the FRS Quarterback Performance of the Year, Rutger’s Jawan Jamison for the Running Back Performance of the Year and University of Southern California’s Marqise Lee for the Receiver Performance of the Year.

All-Star Performances of the Year is a four-month competition that lets fans determine which individual performances reign supreme during the 2011 college football season. Each top weekly vote-getter proceeds to the Finals, which run Jan. 16-22, and the winners will be revealed during the All-Star Football Challenge special airing at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 3 on ESPN2.

Cameron, Jamison, Lee, and Crichton will compete against 16 other finalists, which will be announced weekly from now until the culmination of bowl season. In addition to recognizing the season’s top performances, the All-Star Football Challenge will feature college football’s biggest stars in a live skills challenge. In the 13 year history of the event, 41 first-round NFL draft picks have participated in the All-Star Football Challenge. Past participants include Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Santana Moss, Vince Young, Vernon Davis, Donovan McNabb, Edgerrin James, and many others.
