Corvallis, Ore. - Horizon Airlines, a corporate sponsor of Oregon State University Athletics, will fly its OSU themed Bombardier CRJ-700 jet over Reser Stadium prior to kickoff of this Saturday's Homecoming football game against the UCLA Bruins.

The low altitude flyover will take place at approximately 12:52 p.m., eight minutes before kickoff. The jet will make two flyovers in different directions allowing fans to admire the aircraft, which was unveiled in February of 2008. Horizon Airlines also has similar jets with University of Washington, Washington State University and University of Oregon themes - those jets have flown over each school's stadium earlier this year. On Nov. 8, a Boise State University themed jet will be unveiled to join the fleet. The planes were painted with no expense to the universities.

The OSU jet seats 70 passengers and typically flies Horizon's longer routes from Seattle and Portland to Northern and Southern California.

Some specifics for the plane include a maximum air speed of 534 miles per hour and a maximum altitude of 41,000 feet.
