Relive the Fiesta Bowl -- Game 11

Corvallis, Ore. - All the talk was the BCS. An Oregon win and it was the Rose Bowl for the Ducks, an OSU win meant there were several possibilities. As it was, No. 8 OSU vs. No. 5 Oregon with bowl representatives from the Rose, Fiesta, Holiday and Sun Bowls in attendance.
The Civil War was an emotional game for a group of seniors that will be remembered for being the class to turn Beaver football fortunes around.
The Beaver defense forced six Duck turnovers, including five Joey Harrington interceptions (Jake Cookus had three INTs), as OSU won 23-13. Robert Prescott scored two touchdowns receiving for the Beavers.
“It doesn’t get much better,” Dennis Erickson said following the game.
It wasn’t long thereafter that OSU learned that it was headed to the Fiesta Bowl as the No. 5 ranked team in the country. “Beaver Nation” remembers that game well.
