Relive the Fiesta Bowl -- Game 5
Sept. 30, 2010
Corvallis, Ore. - The biggest game in quite some time in Seattle for the Beavers as they ventured on the road for the first time in Pac-10 play as the No. 23 ranked team in the country. The Huskies were No. 13.
Oregon State nearly pulled off the upset, before falling 33-30. Quarterback Jonathan Smith threw for three touchdowns, including an 80-yard bomb to Chad Johnson to narrow the gap to what was the final score. OSU had a chance to tie the game late, but a field goal attempt from 46 yards was no good.
The Beavers returned to Corvallis dejected, but that would be the last time for that season.
Fans attending the Oct. 2 game vs. Arizona State can be part of the festivities by welcoming back many of that 2000 team for a halftime reunion.
