Oregon State junior Jordan Poyer has been selected the Pac-12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and the College Football Performance Awards punt returner of the week.  

Poyer, a junior from Astoria, Ore., returned a punt 85 yards for a touchdown in last Saturday’s game vs. UCLA, the second-longest punt return in OSU history.  Poyer ranks second in the nation for punt return average yards at 25.3.

CFPA also awarded senior punter Johnny Hekker an honorable mention award after averaging 53 yards on three kicks, including a long of 62 yards. 

Oregon State returns to action this Saturday at No. 25 Arizona State in a game that is being televised by Fox College Sports and FSN Arizona beginning at 7:30 p.m.
