Boys and Girls Clinic a Huge Success
March 20, 2013
Corvallis, Oregon - “Some of the players have more fun than the kids do,” Corvallis Boys and Girls Club Athletic Director Brian Mills said. That is a very true statement as the nearly 100 Beaver football student-athletes on campus hosted the eighth annual Corvallis Boys and Girls Club Football Skills and Agility Clinic. The event, held Sat., March 16 at the Truax Indoor Center and the Tommy Prothro Football Complex, drew 250 kids ages third through the eighth grades. Head coach Mike Riley spoke to the kids before the session started, but it was all about meeting the athletes they see on TV every Saturday during the fall. The OSU Video team put together the attached video from the day’s festivities. The Beaver football team returns to the pratice field April 1 for the first spring practice of the season. The 15-day session culminates with the Spring Showcase April 26 at 7 p.m. at Reser Stadium. The Beavers open the season Aug. 31 at home against Football Championship Series power Eastern Washington at Reser Stadium and also hosts Hawai’i, Stanford, USC, Washington and Colorado. If you’re interested in becoming a new season ticket holder for 2013 please contact the OSU Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or visit BeaverTickets.com to place a $50 per seat deposit.
