Volleyball and Football Join for Second Annual Digging for Dylan

March 14, 2011

Corvallis, Ore. – The Oregon State football and volleyball programs will compete against each other in the second annual “Digging for Dylan” on Saturday, Apr. 9 at 5:00 p.m. All of the proceeds from Digging for Dylan will go to the Sparrow Clubs.

Tickets will only be sold at the door in legendary Gill Coliseum and are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and Oregon State students with OSU ID. Cash and checks are only accepted.

The Digging for Dylan match will take place following the Oregon State volleyball team’s spring match against Oregon at 2:30 p.m.

Some of the Beaver football players that will be competing are Johnny Hekker, Markus Wheaton, Rashaad Reynolds and Obum Gwacham.

Last year, over $1,700 was raised to help offset the medical costs for Dylan Cain and his parents, Mark and Jinger. The family traveled to Duke Children’s Hospital and Clinic in North Carolina last year, where Dylan received an infusion of stem cells harvested from his banked umbilical cord blood that was saved from birth. For more information on Dylan’s journey, visit www.help4dylan.com.
