Sophomore Dylan Wynn on His First Year in the Program
March 7, 2012
Oregon State sophomore Dylan Wynn had an eventful season in 2012 – first as a potential redshirt candidate, then as joining the rotation at defensive end, eventually becoming a starter, and finally as a record setter. The 2011 Freshman All-America honorable mention selection by College Football News finished the season with 44 tackles, 5.5 tackles-for-loss, a school-record setting five fumble recoveries and numerous highlight reel plays. Wynn, along with fellow sophomore Scott Crichton, have a chance to go down as the best defensive bookends in Oregon State history. Wynn’s non-stop motor and high-effort mentality give the Beavers’ defense optimal cornerstones to build around for the next several years. The Oregon State Sports Video staff had a chance to sit down with Wynn recently to talk about his first year at OSU, the offseason and what to expect in the future (see video below). The Beavers open spring practice April 3 and conclude the drills April 28 with Fan Fest (look for details soon) at Reser Stadium.
