Beavers Downed By California In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO - Trevor Romaineconnected on field goals from 32 and 46 yards out, respectively, in Oregon State's 23-6 loss to California Saturday at AT&T Park.
Romaine's field goals marked the only scoring of the game for the Beavers, who saw their five-game win streak at Cal snapped. He hit on a 32-yarder less than five minutes into the game, then nailed the 46-yard field goal with two seconds remaining in the second quarter.
Despite getting 247 passing yards from quarterback Sean Mannion - his ninth straight game of 200 or more yards - Oregon State could not get over the goal line. He was 25-for-39 in the loss, connecting six times with senior wide receiver James Rodgers.
By catching six passes, Rodgers moved two shy of tying Mike Hassfor the most in an Oregon State career.
Rodgers has 218.
Zach Maynard threw for 128 yards and one touchdown for California, which improved to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Beavers dropped to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in league play.
Isi Sofele carried the ball 23 times for California, and the running back finished with 190 yards on the ground. He also scored on a 20-yard run with 10:01 remaining in the third quarter.
