Meet Jordan Jenkins

Jenkins Moving Up the Depth Chart (GT 8/24/2010)

2012: Jordan remains one of the most versatile players on the team, as described by head coach Mike Riley ... figures to continue to see action in a variety of roles this season ... a standout on special teams, but is also a well-rounded running back with good hands and pass blocking skills, and will likely continue to push for playing time in a third-down situational role. 2011: Played in all 12 games, starting two - the first of his career - at Wisconsin and vs. UCLA ... mostly played the role of third-down back ... recorded 31 receptions on the season, tied for third on the team ... scored for the first time in his career on a 31-yard pass against Washington State ... remained a vital cog on special teams registering six tackles for the season ... injured his left shoulder in the first day of spring practice, requiring surgery and thus missed all of April and much of fall camp. 2010: Jordan made six tackles for the season on special teams, but also had two carries, a reception and a kick return ... played in every game ... had carries of three yards vs. Louisville and five yards vs. California ... made a reception vs. Oregon... 112 yards rushing and one touchdown in the Spring Game. 2009: Jordan made two tackles at Arizona State and had two rushes for six yards vs. Portland State. 2008: Redshirt.

WEST SALEM: Three-year starter ... 2007 Central Valley Conference Player of the Year ... 2007 All-Region Player of the Year ... participated in the 2008 Les Schwab All-Star Game ... All-Central Valley Conference as an outfielder for the baseball team and earned second team all-state ... also played basketball ... prep teammate of former OSU football player Jordan Bishop.

PERSONAL: Born November 8, 1989 in Salem ... son of Michael and Cherie Jenkins ... has six siblings ... his brother, Riley, played football for OSU and Linfield 2000-04 ... brother, Andy, played baseball for OSU 2003-04 ... sister, Sari-Jane, played softball for Oregon ... majoring in business marketing.
